Although there are lots and lots of features inside your CausePilot software, if you want a quick overview of how an easy and typical fundraiser works, here you go!

BEFORE THE FUNDRAISER

1.  You'll create your CausePilot account and connect to Stripe so you can accept payments.

2.  Then, you'll create a Flight.  Within the Flight you will...

        a.  Create your theme

        b.  Choose your components

        c.  Set up each component

        d.  Setup your Financials

3.  Now you'll build out each component.  Always start with the Setup and then the rest.

4.  (Outside CausePilot) You'll need a promotion plan and, if you're hosting an event, there's a lot of detail that goes into that.

DURING YOUR FUNDRAISER

5. (Online) You'll watch how things are going on the Summary page.  (Onsite) You will check people in.

6.  If you're hosting an auction with online/mobile items, your guests will receive text messages when they are outbid.

7.  (Onsite) You may manually enter any fundraising that is being managed manually (bid sheets, live auction, paddle raise, etc.)

8.  Help your participants if they need assistance.

END OF THE FUNDRAISER

9.  At the close of an auction, winners will receive a text notification that they won.

10.  Guests can check themselves out online, you may give them the ability to pay by cash or check, and if you have required credit cards, you can check out all pending orders with one click in Financials Pending tab.

11.  If an auction, you'll distribute the auction items to the winners.

Easy - Peasy - Lemon Squeezy!

TIP:  These things are all very easy but you do need to take time to learn your CausePilot software if you want it to be relatively stress free.  When a guest needs your assistance, you need to know how to help them.  When a guest says "I want to cancel that bid or need a refund." you need to know how to do these things quickly and with confidence.  We strongly encourage you to watch the Flight Training videos and look through the Help Center to think through how you will handle those situations you typically experience at your events.
