Ticket Setup

Ticket Setup is where you will establish how many tickets are to be sold and when you want to sell them.  Plus, the option to encourage* group ticket purchasers to enter their ticket holder's information.

*We can't MAKE them enter all of their guests....but we can encourage them.

1.  Total Tickets.  Enter the total number of tickets you have available for sale.  When you reach this number, your CausePilot software will stop allowing ticket sales.  If you reach this number, on the landing page, it will read Tickets Sold Out. - You can change this at any time.

2.  End Date.  Enter the date you want to stop selling tickets.  On that date, your CausePilot software will stop allowing ticket sales.  When you reach this date, on the landing page, it will read Tickets no longer available. - You can change this at any time.

3.  Ticket Type.  You can choose between (2) ticket types.

  • General Admission = Easy, no fuss, ticket sales
  • Assigned Seating = Create seat inventory for each ticket level.  Assign seats as tickets are sold.

See Assigned Seating for more detailed instructions.

4.  Self Checkin.  Do you want to allow Self Checkin?  Check the box if yes.  Uncheck for no.  Self Checkin is a mechanism to encourage group ticket purchasers to assign their tickets to the individuals they will invite to the event.  To Self Checkin, a ticket holder can only have 1 or 2 tickets assigned under their email account, and if 2, one must be under a different name.  If a credit card is required, and they don't yet have one in the system, they will be asked to add a credit card in order to Self Checkin.

See Self Checkin for more detailed instructions.

IMPORTANT:  Self Checkin does not mean that the ticket holder does not have to check in at the door.  It simply means that you'll know when they arrive that they have taken care of everything in order to enter more quickly.

5.  Self Checkin Date.  Set a date when you'd like for ticket holders to begin checking in.  On this date and time, all existing ticket holders will receive a Self-Checkin email.  Any tickets sold after this date will automatically receive the email following the purchase.

See Self Checkin for more detailed instructions.
