Cancel a Bid

To cancel a bid placed by a user in Components > Auction > Online/Mobile tab.

Find the item in the list and click the edit icon (pencil) next to its name.  This will open the list of bids for that item.  You will see the current high bid.  If this is the one you want to cancel, you can.

TIP:  There's never a need to cancel a bid that has already been outbid.  And, if you are early in the the auction process, there's rarely a reason to cancel a bid when it's likely to be outbid.  Only at the end of an auction, if a user won and didn't want to, you can choose to cancel their bid.

When you cancel a bid, the 2nd highest bidder will automatically become the high bidder and/or winner.

Bid Sheet / Live Bid

If the item has not been paid for yet, you can cancel a manual bid entry by going to Components > Auction > Bid Sheet / Live tab.  There you will see a Cancel button next to the item.

If the item has already been paid for, your only remedy is to issue a refund in Financials > Transactions tab, find the user and open the transaction.  Click Refund at the bottom of the page.
