Auction Items

EXAMPLE  Auction Catalog.  Here's an example of what we are building...An online auction catalog.  Whether you are hosting an online auction, an in-person event using mobile bidding, and/or live auctioneered items, it's great to have a catalog where people can peruse your offerings, see what's available, and bid (online/mobile).

NOTE:  You'll only see the "Edit" icon if you are an Administrator or Manager of the account.

EXAMPLE View Details.  When a supporter opens the item by clicking "View Details", they will see more images, detail about the item, and have the ability to bid, see that maybe a ticket is required to participate, and/or that the item is only available at the event.  These are all options.

EXAMPLE Featured Items.  You also have the option to make certain items available as "featured", which means they are listed on your landing page, as well as in the catalog.  Featured items help bring special items to supporters attention right away and draw them into the catalog to see more.

Let's start building that auction catalog!

Add Items.  You have (3) ways to add new auction items.  From Components > Auction > Catalog tab, choose the button "Add Item" to see the following drop-down menu and choices.

Add Auction Item.  This is how you will add each item individually.  This is a great way to create auction items as they are received.  Even if you import the items, you will still need to open each one, edit, and add images.

Create Package.  Once you have items in your catalog, you can combine them into packages.  Creating a package is basically adding another auction item and putting other items into it.  The advantage is that you keep up with all of the individual items and manage the donors individually.

Import Auction Items.  You can import auction items via a CSV spreadsheet.  You must use our downloadable spreadsheet formatting to import the items and you must have all of the pertinent detail entered.  You can edit items after they are imported.  (See Import Auction Items for more detailed instructions.)
